Price to fall by about $100 for full Premium and Business Editions, while full Ultimate Edition to fall by around $300.
Today we brought you news of global price cuts to Vista when the SP1 version arrives. We asked Microsoft for Australian pricing, and here it is.

For people buying the full version you'll get a saving of about $100 on the Business and Home Premium Editions. The best news is for Vista Ultimate buyers - the full version will drop by more than $300.

Here are the new retail (not OEM) prices for Windows Vista with SP1 as supplied by Microsoft:
Windows Vista Home Basic Upgrade Edition: falls from $199 to $149
Windows Vista Home Basic Full Edition: falls from $385 to $299
Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade Edition: falls from $299 to $199
Windows Vista Home Premium Full Edition: falls from $455 to $349
Windows Vista Home Premium Academic Edition Upgrade: falls from $179 to $139
Windows Vista Business Upgrade Edition: stays at $379
Windows Vista Business Full Edition: falls from $565 to $449
Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade Edition: falls from $495 to $399
Windows Vista Ultimate Full Edition: falls from $751 to $449
