Acronis Privacy Expert Suite Personal 8.0*

Acronis Privacy Expert Suite provides your PC with comprehensive protection against spyware. Quickly search known spyware locations with Smart Scan or opt for a Deep Scan which checks the drives or folders you specify. The program won’t abuse your bandwidth by checking for spyware definitions every five minutes, either. Instead you get to schedule the update frequency, perhaps running it overnight when you’re not around.

Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition Beta 2

If you’ve ever wondered what tools you need to create your own Windows software, Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition Beta 2 is one way to get started. Our cover disc has everything you need to get started in C#, and we’ve even included a no-nonsense step-by-step guide. Special thanks to Microsoft for providing us with this great package.

Panda TruPrevent Personal 2005

Panda TruPrevent Personal 2005 offers another layer of protection to complement your existing anti-virus application. It’s designed to look for and block suspicious behaviour, rather than just detecting a signature, and so can trap even new viruses that haven’t yet been discovered.
TruPrevent is intended to run alongside your existing anti-virus tool, not as a replacement. The program is light on resources, allowing you to get a second opinion on known viruses.

Paragon Partition Undelete*

There are plenty of ways to lose your valuable data. A single byte change in the partition table, either by accident or through a virus or trojan, and one of your drive partitions could disappear completely. With a copy of Paragon Partition Undelete installed this need not spell disaster. Even if you’re a complete novice and know nothing about partition management, the program can quickly recover your files.

Stuffit Standard 9*

While Stuffit can compress your files to save storage space, it is more than just an archiving application. How would you like to compress your digital photo collection, for instance, with no loss of quality? ZIP files are lucky to save one percent with most JPEGs, but Stuffits own Stuffit X format can now reduce the file size by up to 30 percent.
