Love that lore If you're the type of RPG player who likes to immerse themselves in reams of fictional history... prepare to be reamed out. Skyrim draws upon thousands of years of Tamriel mythos, making for a fully-realised world that is every bit as convincing as Tolkien's Middle Earth. The various races and factions in the game all have intricate back-stories, garbs and customs. There are also more than 350 books to discover, all of which can be picked up and read at leisure. The developers even created a 35-character runic alphabet and native Nordic language for an extra dash of authenticity. If real ancient history was this interesting, we'd all become scholars.
