Get hitched! Romance has been a regular fixture of the RPG genre ever since Treasures of the Savage Frontier let you woo six-pixel NPCs. While games like Fable, Dragon Age and Mass Effect have taken RPG courtship to new levels, the Elder Scrolls series has traditionally shied away from this icky stuff. Thankfully (for hopeless romantics), Skyrim shakes off its forbears' asexual armor in favour of some fairytale lovin'. It's possible to chat up and marry over 50 NPCs in the game; although you'll need to find the Amulet of Mara first. You can even marry same-sex partners, which is more than can be said about this country. Once joined in holy matrimony, your squeeze will cook you a homemade meal each day. Awww.
