When the PS3 was about to launch, Sony talked up its graphical capabilities to a somewhat ridiculous degree. According to some reports, it was going to be "up to ten times more powerful" than the Xbox 360 and was set to blow even high-end PCs out of the water. In the end, this turned out to be hollow boasting at best and downright lying at worst (who can forget the infamously 'faked' <a href="http://www.vg247.com/2011/05/10/guerrilla-recalls-the-controversy-surrounding-killzone-2s-e3-2005-trailer/" target="_blank">Killzone 2 footage</a> from E3 2005?).
<br><br> While the PlayStation 3 is undoubtedly an impressive machine, the average gamer would be hard-pressed telling a PS3 game apart from its Xbox 360 equivalent. Indeed, some games actually look <i>worse</i> due to the inherent coding difficulties associated with the PlayStation 3. There are plenty of die-hard Sony loyalists who insist the best-looking games are PS3 exclusives; but with nothing to compare against, it's all pretty subjective.  
<br><br><b>Verdict: Xbox 360. Cross-platform games (i.e. - nearly all of them) often look better on Xbox 360.
