25 best robot movies of all timeThis week, Japan unveiled a robot that is capable of thinking and learning "like a human" (see the video here). This got us to thinking about robots in movies - and how long it will be before reality catches up with fiction. In the following gallery, we pay tribute to the best robot movies of all time; from 1927's Metropolis to Pixar's much-loved Wall-E. Hopefully, our impending robot overlords will resemble R2-D2 from Star Wars, rather than the T-100 from Terminator. (Although we'll happily take the terminators over a robotic Robin Williams any day.) Read on to discover who we crown Number 1 (it's not Number 5)
