First Look: Dualsim Slider smartphone
Check out the latest pics of the Dualsim phone that takes two SIM cards for dual number use! The phone isn't perfect, but the twin SIM concept has us very interested.

New comic book is the anti-Watchmen
We've seen some left of field technology marketing ideas (Lenovo's blow-up light bulb comes to mind), but none like this: Spinvox (speech to text co.) has created an entire comic book devoted to itself. Watchmen this ain't, but as you can see from the photos, Spinvox has had a real go at giving their comic/advertisement some atmosphere, from the moody blue-grays to the stylised "heroes of free speech" characters with blocks for heads. Weird.

Sony Vaio TT
The Vaio TT lasted 3.5 hours on maximum power mode, with the screen un-dimmed, wireless on, and the DVD movie playing. In our lab tests, it lasted 6hrs 15mins of light usage (an idle test, so you're going to get less in real life).

CES 09: The future of TV?
Our photos of Sony’s razer thin OLED TVs show what the future of TV could look like in years to come. New at CES are the first larger screen sizes, including a 21in prototype, and Sony’s 11in XEL-1 which sells in the US for a cool $2,500. A 27in panel is on the way, though for now OLED is still in the too expensive for the real world phase.

Gravitonus iClubby chair shifts to Earth’s ‘Gravitational Field Vector’
We could game in this fully temperature controlled, triple screen, 5.1 surround PC chair, for a long, long time. Not only does the entire chair adjust trackball-like according to the Earth’s Gravitational Field Vector, but the seats are automatically ventilated with heating and controlled blower speed and airflow. There's Matrox triple-head screens and a subwoofer in the seat-back gives audio a kick. Link

Macworld 09: The show must go on
As you can see from our photos, the lineup for Philip Schiller’s Apple keynote speech outside San Francisco’s Moscone Center isn’t exactly earthy shattering so far. But the absence of Steve Jobs hasn’t dented some fans’ enthusiasm, including this lone guy on the left, who is braving 46 degree F temperatures (8 degrees C) and rain to be the first, and only person, in line a day before the speech. It turns out his name is Nick Lensander, of The MacTips Podcast. Let’s hope the lineup was worth it.

Unboxed: pine scented ASUS F6V laptop
There's no mistaking the pine scent as we crack the seal on the F6V, the first laptop we've seen with a built-in scent. While we were expecting something akin to that guy who goes overboard on Brut before a night at the pub, the effect is thankfully more subtle. You'll need to stick your nose right up to the laptop for a lungful (no really, we insist). Read our review.

HP Mini 1001TU
The Mini 1001TU lid has a silver spiraling pattern across the piano black surface, making it the most attractive netbook we’ve seen. The keys are matt black rather than lush silver, which does look a bit cheap, but comfort doesn’t come with a silver finish and this keyboard is as intuitive, spacious and easy to use as HP's other Mini, the 2133. Not only that, but it’s 90% the size of a full sized keyboard.
