It's exciting to see a new player enter the laptop space. Samsung has up till known been known for its flat screen TVs, including its new LED range, but it looks like they should also be on your laptop shopping list if today's press demo was any indication.

The latest to grab our attention is the new MSI Wind U100 PLUS (also called the 100+), which is priced at $699 - not exactly cheap, but then again, it's far more affordable than many of its rivals pushing the $1,000 mark. MSI also caught our eye with the new X340, a super thin 13.4in portable that weighs in at only 1.3Kg.

These are two of the most hotly-anticipated compacts cameras we've seen for some time. The Powershot SX200 IS and Lumix DMC-TZ7 stand out a mile from most compacts, with 12x optical zoom, wide angle lenses, compact bodies, advanced exposure controls, and 720 movie recording.
