The U123 netbook is another winner for MSI. Specs include: 1,024-by-600 resolution, 92% sized chicklet keyboard, 1GB RAM and the usual 1.6Ghz N280 Keyboard. The battery is one of the best so far for MSI: 8.5 hours. But it's the 3G capabilities that really have us most excited for a netbook.

Arriving in Australia in the next two years, the Nissan EV LEAF promises to be one of the world's first all-electric cars to market. Telstra's MEOW can provide up to 450 fixed line telephone services and over 300 ADSL2+ broadband services, at speeds of up to 20Mbps. The COW unit can provide backup coverage mobile phones in diaster affected towns across rural Australia.

Using this equipment, Telstra can usually get ADSL services back on the air within hours of deployment - a must after disaster has struck.

German based Navigon might be the newest GPS company to land on our Southern shores, but they've certainly arrived with the 4350Max. HP's latest netbook, the Mini 110, is the successor to the much loved Mini 1000. This time, there's a 160GB HDD, a 1.66GHz Atom processor and an optional 6-cell battery for up to 6 hours of battery life. With a 10.1" screen and just 1.09Kg, this is one of the smallest and sleekest netbooks you're likely to see. At $699 for the 160GB option, the price is good too.
