Size: 30Kb

Rating: 3

Verdict: An unobtrusive and useful tool

Windows XP/2000 SP3+ Mac OS X 10.2+ Red Hat Linux 8.0+ Firefox 1.0+

Once installed, you're presented with an extra toolbar below the address bar with options such as SpellCheck, AutoFill and WordTranslator.

As its name suggests, SpellCheck will check the spelling of any data that you type into web forms.

AutoFill is also related to web forms, and lets you save your personal information to a file. Google Toolbar will then auto-complete any web form with this pre-saved data.

WordTranslator translates individual words from English into one of seven languages, including Spanish, German and Italian. Simply hover your mouse over a word for the translation.

Also featured is a highly configurable Google Search bar, a word find for locating the first instance of a word on a page, and page rank information on every web page you visit.

This new release includes feed integration with the Google Personalised Homepage, and a safe browsing extension to alert you when a page is trying to steal sensitive information.

Gmail links have also been added, along with improved spelling and grammar checking.
