The Dell 1100MP is a data projector for the most part, but was submitted by Dell for this review with the home theatre projectors.

The TPL-S10 comes from Toshiba’s ultra-portable stable of projectors, and while not quite as small as say, the Proxima DP1000X, it still managed to fit a fair amount of goodness into a easily manageable size.

When we last compared sub-$2,500 projectors (December 2003) Dell was unable at the time to supply us with a review model. We were eager to see what their brand new sub-$2,000 projector was capable of, but it's taken it a while to complete the circuitous route to our offices.

This brand-new projector is expensive and rather noisy, but image quality is excellent.

The FF1 is well featured and comes with some useful accessories. Picture quality isn’t perfect, but it still has a range of practical uses.

The Optoma H27 is one of the best home theatre projectors we looked at here.

While not the most stunning of projectors when displaying either video or data, the Mitsubishi SL2U is certainly a more than capable projector for both the boardroom and the lounge room.

BenQ’s little PB2120 may not have made it into our top three projectors, but it’s still quite a decent projector.
