Much like the PC and component market, mobile phones have a product lifecycle that changes so rapidly it's hard to keep up. Panasonic has stayed with their tried and true clamshell design, first made popular by the GD88 and continued with the X700. This handset turns their previous generations upside down, offering Panasonic's first smart phone based on Symbian OS version 7.0.

The Panasonic NV-GS15 is the cheaper version of the NV-GS120, but you wouldn't pick it to look at them. It is not until you start to use it that you discover why it is $600 cheaper than its big brother with the three CCD's. The single, 800,000 (400,000 effective) pixel CCD produces average picture quality and certainly nothing that would compare with the 1.62 million (1.02 million effective) of the NV-GS120.

One of the few projectors to edge up to the $5,000 cut-off mark for this Labs, the Panasonic PT-AE300E proved to be bit of a powerhouse in our test suite.

Panasonic claims this to be the world's smallest palm-type DV camera, and who am I to argue?

The first thing that stood out with this camera is the absolutely massive 2in LCD display

This well-priced mini cam fits snugly in the palm of your hand and like any good entry-level camera can even be used by a child. It's just a matter of pointing and shooting which gets points in our books for a consumer camera.

Excellent audio with a cool factor.

Battery life is the only downside to this excellent compact camera.

Image quality is reasonable, but there are far better cameras available for less.

A little slower than its 12x and 16x counterparts, this is another DVD-RAM supportive drive and it ships with three RAM discs and a copy of Nero Express to have you up and burning right out of the box.
