Decent image quality and a price that's hard to believe

A low price but with image quality to match

Not as stylish as the Dell, but the BenQ’s image quality and HDMI port make it our top 24in LCD.

The FP71V+ is a17 inch, 8ms display but it uses some techno-voodoo called Advanced Motion Acceleration to achieve a 5ms grey to grey response time and improve motion performance.

The FP71V+ is another 17in TFT from BenQ, but the real selling point of this monitor is the super-fast 5ms response time.

As well as TV viewing (an analog tuner is built in) this screen's strength comes from its LCD-ness which makes it awesome for plugging into a PC (Media Center, anyone?) or for components like digital set-top boxes or DVD players.

BenQ's U-Disk 256MB shares a similar slide-USB port as the SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Labs Winner -- this keeps the unit fairly small and pocket-friendly.

We’re no stranger to BenQ and its high-quality monitors at PC Authority: in our last roundup of 15, 17 and 18in+ monitors BenQ managed to score two awards including Labs Winner for its 15in model.

One of only two DVD burners this month to come with a two year manufacturer warranty, the BenQ DW400A offers peace of mind should things go pear shaped.

The second cheapest scanner in our labs roundup this month, the S2W 5000U is designed with Web use in mind. As such, it features a 'Scan to Web' (S2W) and PDA (Palm compatible) quick launch function.

Almost identical to the FP591, 15in model (previous page), the BenQ FP791 is everything the little model is, although we actually found it to be slightly more.

When it came time to tally up the scores for all of the 15in monitors, the BenQ FP591 was either at or near the top of every category.

BenQs FP882 is an example of the new influx of TFT screens that have recently hit the streets a quality screen offering plenty of real estate to play with. At 18in it dwarfs most 19in CRTs in viewable screen space, and offers both analog and DVI inputs, plus it has built in speakers.
