A great set of features and plenty of power, but the price is very high for this ultraportable.

It's not as if Dell don't win enough accolades at PCA, but the Vostro 1200 is noticeable by its absence. Baseline config, with all the bell and whistles, weighs in at around $1400. As an IT Manager, I've supported most of the featured vendors over the years and from a business perspective - and I think the largest market for this class of notebook is the roaming business user - Dell come out on top more often that their competitors for reliability and service. Definitely one to consider alongside the Acer, Asus and Sony.

Yes, it’s bigger and dearer than ever, but it’s also the most usable and well-made Eee PC yet.
