Yes, it’s bigger and dearer than ever, but it’s also the most usable and well-made Eee PC yet.

Have been using one of these for two months now for work - better than any pda! Of course it is not a desktop replacement but for taking out to meetings etc it is fantastic - drop straight into bag with separate laptop case, and battery lasts almost 6hrs!

I have all my docs on a 16GB SDHC card (incl outlook pst file) so just switch card between desktop and eee and no syncing needed.

I'm actually in the market for a new Low Cost Laptop/Netbook, and will be looking into the new Eee. I am also very keen on the Acer Aspire 5100, for only $700 odd with 1gb RAM, I have tested them and it does the job, on the down side it is a 'brick' and very thick! Though I like the Vista Home Basic, as I have XP Retail on an old laptop I would dual boot, or even downgrade until Vista comes out with a SP I actually think makes the cut.
