It's official - flip phones are out, and touch phones are in, as shown by this week's major launch of a new crop of phones by Samsung, as it goes in to battle with the iPhone.

Sony unveils an interesting promotion that involves QR code scanning in QR-equipped mobile phones, to win the ultimate Bond experience worth $15,000.

The Ultimate 9502 is a heavy, chunkier unit that boasts some useful improvements over its predecessor, including classier Foxtel Mobile viewing thanks to better resolution.

It won’t win any awards in the looks department – it’s rather bulky and large for a phone - but looks aren’t everything in the mobile phone industry, unless you’re Apple.

It seems every phone these days is marked as a ‘touch’ responsive handset, but few live up to the hype. The U900 packs its fair share of features, works well and ultimately does the job.
