Sound Blaster Audigy eX

Thursday November 01, 2001
Creative
AUD
$599
Price at time of review.

Creative has enjoyed a long reign as the driving force in consumer-grade PC audio for the better part of a decade.

The major improvements won’t be noticed for a while, but the features and performance do justice to the Sound Blaster range.

We've seen interesting mouse designs before, but none quite like this. Microsoft's new Arc mouse fold up like a mobile. See our photo gallery here.

Cheap plans, good hardware and excellent results in our speed tests make 3 a deserving winner, in our group test against Telstra Bigpond, Optus, Vodafone, Virgin and Unwired.

The mouse is much ignored but you’d be amazed how much of a difference a good one can make, and this offering from Microsoft is the Rolls-Royce of mice.

The fastest test results, but the most expensive data packages make BigPond a fall-back only for those with no coverage from other providers

A superb piece of case engineering that costs a lot, but suits top end PCs to a tee.
