MixMeister Express software lets practically anybody produce professional
sounding music mixes.
Unlike DJing with vinyl or CDs, MixMeister takes care of the majority of the
work, with your main tasks being to select the tunes to use, their order, and
whether you wish to beat-match or simply create a fade-in/fade-out mix.
It has an intuitive interface, with a three-pane layout. The top left pane
displays all songs in your library, the top-right pane displays those songs
you've selected for your mix, and the bottom pane holds a visual representation
of the songs in your mix.
Songs in your mix can be reordered via drag-and-drop, and you can add various
sound effects between songs (car horns, applause etc). The bottom pane is where
the fine tweaking is done, allowing you to adjust track volumes, crop or extend
segments, change the length of fade-in or fade-out etc.
Supported audio formats are MP3, WAV, WMA and M3U, and you can export the
finished mix as either a WAV or WMA file, or burn it direct to CD.
This trial adds a short demo message to finished mixes every few minutes, and
CD burning can only be done 10 times.
There are Studio and Pro versions available (which we have yet to see)
offering greater functionality, and priced at $169.95 and $279.95 respectively.
