Pioneer Xfinity PC
by Darren Ellis

One of the most striking things about Pioneer’s entry this month is the cosmetics: it’s 24hr karaoke bar meets street-racing BMW. And lots of blue LEDs! And these LED’s can get a little annoying – especially the super bright “headlight” LED’s. They shine directly ahead, and at desk height they beam straight into your eyes. There is also a large, illuminated ‘Xfinity’ etched into the front door of the case. Suffice to say this case won’t be to everyone’s taste. But otherwise, the rest of the externals are OK – the top mount houses two of the six total USB ports beneath a tidy flap, and a large power button with a good action.

Beyond: Web Power
by Staff Writers

The Web Powers attempt to look futuristic, with its silver and pastel-blue colour scheme doesnt quite pay off, and it ends up looking a little tacky and cheap instead.

On opening the box you can tell the Altron MM10 is a serious piece of equipment. It's a large, brushed-aluminium box with a distinctive neon-blue sound level meter on the front.

Panasonic NV-GS120
by Staff Writers

If the CCD is the brain of a digital video camera it is logical that three should be better than one. A single CCD has to deal with all colours together while a 3-CCD system divides the primary red, green and blue (RGB) colours to individual CCDs to give a much more precise and accurate picture. The result is a high quality image that is as good as any of the cameras tested - including the Sony DVD201E, which provided the benchmark for most of the others.

APPLE ITUNES 4.1
by Ross Burridge

With the release of version 4.1, Windows users finally get a look at Apple's iTunes software on home ground. From the brushed aluminium and ice blue of the Mac OS branding, to the organisation of the interface, it feels almost alien in a Windows environment.
