Sorry about the lack of links (link-lack, I believe is the term - I bet there's single word in German for it) recently - Friday's just a damn tricky day to try to master.
Anyhoo, here we are at last, and here are the links we've found from around the net this week!
First up, some Trek stuff. If you're paying attention, you'll know we're in bit of a deep Trek addiction phase at the moment, thanks to some RPG shenanigans I'm working on. So you're probably going to get quite a few odd and random Trek links over the next little while. But that should be okay, 'cause Star Trek is awesome (except for Voyager!). First up, a giant batch of Trek history, courtesy of make-up guy, model builder, and all-round Trek nut Doug Drexler.
He's been blogging about all things Trek since '09, but I've only recently found his site. It's full of amazing behind the scenes stuff, and news on many Trek alumni. There's a mess of entries, so give yourself a lot of time for browsing. And speaking of Trek, it looks like Star Trek 2's villain has been announced - interesting choice...
Then there's George's Tickets. This one did the rounds of a lot of my IT friends many years ago, but I recently re-found it, and it's still packed with hilarity. Imagine the world's worst tech support guy, combined with a sys-admin with a wonderfull dry wit. I'm sure this will be oddly familiar to a lot of you.
We also make a return to Mass Effect 3, with an excellent piece from the excellent Charlie Brooker - 'Some people are gay in space - get over it!' I, unsurprisingly, concur.
Now to gaming, and an elegant browser game with a simple, single imperative. It won't take long, but it will amuse you.
And finally, we come kinda-sorta full circle with this excellent flow chart on the impact of early exposure to Dungeons and Dragons, and the consequences of same.
Have a good weekend, guys!
