The most comprehensive resource is provided by the Australian Taxation Office on its Tax Reform Web site (www.taxreform.ato.gov.au). It provides information for every section of the population from the consumer to the tax professional. Anybody can visit the site, seek an explanation of any aspect of GST and other areas of tax reform. New articles are posted regularly along with draft tax rulings from the Tax Commissioner and many of them can be downloaded in either Adobe Acrobat (PDF) or rich text format (RTF). A search engine allows you to seek information by key word and a frequently asked question (FAQ) document is provided with answers to questions that have arisen at the many tax seminars being conducted around the country.
