Its always a good practice to check with the relevant authorities before you order a product; some items may seem acceptable, but in fact are not. Here are a few examples of goods that Customs will not allow into Australia: blowpipes and blowguns, sling shots, automatic paint ball guns, crossbows, erasers resembling food, disposable cigarette lighters which dont meet construction and performance standards (including child resistant features), certain breeds of dogs, as well as toys and other articles containing quantities of lead, mercury, arsenic or their compounds, which exceed prescribed limits.
