Interesting tool that will check through a EULA for possible issues relating
to the agreement
System Requirements:
Common across all software is the End User License Agreement (EULA) which
most of us agree to accept when we install our software. We have no idea what
we’re agreeing to, in most cases. We simply assume that it is written in our
favour and that no-one will ever find out that we’ve not bothered to read
through the information. The thing is, your EULA is a contract between you and
the software or service provider.
As this is a contract, you need to adhere to the contents. For instance, the
EULA might suggest that the installed software will feed back information to the
supplier. By agreeing to this information, you’re effectively licensing the
software supplier to receive your personal details.
EULAlyzer is a tool that you can use to skim over EULA’s and find key
information that might hinder or hold you to account. It will also extract and
save EULA information in a database, so you can refer back to the details at a
later date.
Note that this is the free Personal edition.
