Keeping software up to date is an important part of staying safe online. It
prevents problems from being exploited and may offer new features and
improvements. The
Secunia
Personal Software Inspector is a very helpful tool for making this checking
as quick and easy as possible.
Once downloaded the Inspector searches for the software installed on the
computer and then warns of any that are out of date and need upgrading.
The blue arrow next to the software appears if there is a direct link to an
update known to Secunia and the green icon shows that more information is
available.
This is beta software, so it is still in testing. We did not encounter any
problems but you should be aware it is not finished.
