With O&O FormatRecovery 4, O&O provides the optimal supplement to the readily available data rescue products and nicely rounds off the products in this field. O&O FormatRecovery 4 with the help of an Assistant enables recovery of deleted or formatted partitions or hard disks. File and directory information is also recovered.

Thanks to a specially developed algorithm, O&O FormatRecovery 4 can search through deleted or formatted drives for data and recover it, even when the required files are heavily fragmented. In contrast to O&O UnErase 4 and O&O DiskRecovery 4, O&O FormatRecovery 4 can also recover data where the directory and structure information are completely missing.

The advanced functions of the special search algorithm in O&O FormatRecovery 4 also enable the program to recognize and ignore defective sectors and the recovery of hidden or file systems with the appropriate attributes. It is also possible to carry out a complete recovery of empty directories or files in order to fully reconstruct a storage volume.
