The XPS format has been created by Microsoft to provide a way to share documents with the formatting preserved. The Word file format is not always suitable for this because individual settings can change the layout of a file. XPS documents can be read in Internet Explorer 6 or later on Windows XP if the .NET Framework 3.0 is installed. This pack add the ability to create XPS documents and to index them for searching.

A separate program for viewing XPS files is installed, rather than relying on Internet Explorer. It can search for text within an XPS file and text can be copied to the clipboard.

The pack also installs the software needed to print XPS files.

A separate version for 64bit Windows is also available.

This is pre release software and will expire on 1 June 2007.
