Tux-Guitar is a complete composition tool for guitarists that can be used to
create tablature from ordinary notation.
As well as recording and printing music,
Tux-Guitar can be used as a practice tool as it
can scroll automatically.
There is a fretboard view for working out the different notes used in a
chord. Chords can also be constructed with the chord tool.
Other guitar specific effects such as bending strings and vibrato are also
supported.
Files saved in the gp3 and gp4 formats as created by the Guitar Pro software
from
Arobas
Music can be used. Tux-Guitar can save to those formats.
Tux-Guitar is written in Java and there are versions available for
Mac
and
Linux
as well as Windows.
Sadly there is no help file included with the software.
