Quiptics is based on the popular cryptogram games found in newspapers - humorous or notable quotations that have been scrambled through simple letter substitution. For example, all the Ns may have been replaced by Fs, and all the Zs with Ps - your task is to unscramble all the letters to reveal the quotations.
The game has two levels - regular and expert - with the only difference being that in the expert level, a space may be a letter and a letter may be a space, just to add to the confusion. To aid you in solving these puzzles there are, thankfully, some helpful hints as to the solution, and you can even choose how many hints you're allowed (ranging from zero to 10).
Unlike the newspaper versions, the Quiptics puzzles are much longer and harder to solve, but who wants to attempt to crack an easy puzzle? With more than 100 cryptograms to solve (in the registered version), you're likely to be kept busy for a long time.
Like its counterpart, Crossdown, not only are there various Quiptics to solve, but you can also create your own for your friends to have a go at.
