This is a great package that can be used as an aid to teaching children about maths and time, using some bright graphics and fun games.
The software is split into two main sections: one dealing exclusively with mathematics, and the other with time. Time is important for kids to learn, and with this software you can help to make it fun for them.
You are presented with a large clearly displayed clock with ticking sound effects, and you can choose to teach time to your child in one of two ways. Press a button on the screen and the clock face will display a time accompanied by a young girl's voice reading the time out loud. A great way to get younger children used to the concept of time.
When a bit more advanced, children can play a time game. This involves the girl's voice announcing a random time, with the child having to arrange the clock's hands to the appropriate setting.
In the mathematics section, which is aimed at children up to the age of 11, you can choose one of three levels (lower, intermediate and higher) to suit your child's current skill level. The lower level deals with simple addition and subtraction, the intermediate level introduces basic multiplication and division, while the higher level adds fractions, decimals, and percentages into the equation.
Your child plays a game against the computer in which they are asked to solve a sum, with all the answers being displayed on-screen. Your child simply needs to select the right answer from the choices available - whoever gets the most right answers, wins (hopefully your child).
The mathematics section even includes a simple tool for learning times tables, which are very important later on for grasping other mathematical ideas.
