As you are no doubt aware, e-books are something like the third most purchased item on the internet, and with WinEbook Compiler you can create your own for whatever reason you wish - fun or financial.

Essentially, WinEbook Reader is a word processor with added features allowing you to compile, compress and deploy your finished e-book all within the one application.

The finished books can be compiled as either standalone executables, which anybody can view simply by double-clicking on the file. Alternatively, to keep file size to a minimum, they can be saved as .swb files which require the e-book reader, available as a free download from the Super Win website (see link, below article).

The book itself can be written directly from within the compiler, which has a fully featured spell checker and thesaurus, or you can import files from other word processors - simply save them in rich text format (.rtf) first.

As the program closely emulates the style of a word processor, most of you should find it fairly easy to use, although it may take you a little while to work out what all the buttons do.

All the usual aspects of a book can be included, such as chapters, index, contents page and a front cover. You can even add a reply form, enabling readers to comment on your book and email it back to you. Another nice feature is the ability to add audio files to specific pages, which are launched when the page is opened.

And, of course, like all word processors, pages can be printed out for reading when away from a PC.
