With digital media increasing in popularity, it is becoming increasingly useful to utilise an image viewer in order to effectively manage your files.

Media Center Plus is a simple solution to this problem, supporting over 50 file types across the image, sound and video media.

Files can be edited to a small extent, but primarily this program is meant for viewing and playing media files.

Files can be converted to other formats, one at a time and in batches, into over 30 alternative file formats. Other editing facilities include being able to rename, rotate and copy files.

There is support for TWAIN devices (scanners, etc) and a variety of digital cameras, enabling you to load images direct from external devices into Media Center Plus.

Of most use is the slideshow capability, enabling you to organise entire image albums with ease. Music can be added for extra effect.

Bizarrely, rather than simply letting you access separate folders, you have to create a Media Center Album, into which you place media files before saving. This seems unnecessary, seeing as most image viewers simply organise media using current folders on the hard drive.

The disadvantage of this method is that if a file is deleted from the hard drive, it remains in the album until manually removed.

If you haven't organised your files on your hard drive, then utilising albums could be beneficial.
