Verdict: Cover yourself on all legal angles with Policy Patrol. Don't leave it to chance.

System Requirements:
Windows 2000 and Exchange 5.5/2000; Lotus Notes/Domino or other mail server.

The Policy Patrol add-on offers Microsoft Exchange 2000, 5.5 and Lotus Notes/Domino users added functionality for disclaimers.

Along with creating global disclaimers it lets you configure disclaimers for specific individuals and/or groups.

Formatting can be applied to disclaimers, such as bold, italics and colour. This applies to disclaimers on HTML/rich text emails, whilst plain text emails remain in plain text.

Depending on whether emails are internal or external, different disclaimers can be added to ensure adequate and appropriate cover. This allows you to tailor disclaimers to suit job function and email context, for example.

Policy Patrol integrates closely with Windows 2000, so user information can be picked from the Active Directory.

Ten sample disclaimer templates are provided including global, departmental and internal, should you need them. Alternatively disclaimers can be created and saved as templates for later use.

Licensing is user specific, so you only pay for users who require the disclaimer function.

Purchase price: $99 (Small Business - one global external disclaimer); $119 (10 users). Other pricing applies for more users.
