WS_FTP Pro is aimed at the business market, but its price and security features mean it appeals to the home user too.
It might not look too pretty, but it has a decent layout with a dual pane interface like TurboFTP, and a drop-down menu for navigating drives and folders.
Plenty of neat features ensure transfer is as easy and speedy as possible. Its support for image thumbnails, for example, makes it easier to find and transfer the right file.
Active Edit lets you make changes to files directly on the FTP server, with no need to transfer. HotDrop lets you upload files without needing to launch WS_FTP Pro; simply drop them onto the HotDrop icon and connection, authentication and transfer is carried out behind the scenes.
On the security front, WS_FTP Pro provides support for 128-bit secure socket layer encryption, which is enough for anybody.
