Blip & Blop: Balls of Steel

Impressive and free antivirus and antispyware package

Platform : Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP

Type:

Manufacturer: Loaded Studio

Size: 8Mb (demo), 43.5Mb (full game)

Rating: 5

Verdict: A great antivirus and antispyware program at no cost

System Requirements:
Minimum: Pentium II processor or equivalent; 64Mb Ram; video card with 16Mb of video memory.

Blip and Blop are the two main (and mean) characters - or, more accurately, blobs - of this wacky platform game.

Playable in both one and two-player modes, you can play as either Blip or Blop as you take on the hordes of enemies.

These baddies aren't the usual crowd though. Instead, they include well-known video and cartoon characters, including Smurfs, Snorks and the infuriatingly annoying Pokémon.

The graphics are impressive and reminiscent of the good retro console games such as the Mario Brothers series.

Like all great games, end-of-level bosses are featured aplenty, and unlike some they certainly aren't easy to beat.

Numerous weapons are available to pick up along the way, making the resulting carnage all that more fulfilling.

But the real key to this game is its bucket loads of humour, which is sure to hit home with anyone under 35.

Note: This game is full of bad language and violence, so it is definitely not for kids.
