When it comes to image editing the price of software can be quite daunting, especially if you only plan to use it for photo enhancements. Luckily there are some cheaper options on the market that offer tools of the same standard as the big programs.

Color Pilot is an easy to use application that lets you do all sorts of things with colour in your photos - grass can be made greener and skies bluer with just a few mouse clicks.

The program is based on taking sample colours from one image and using them in another. Similar techniques in professional software can be quite hard to get to grips with, but Color Pilot makes it easy with its useful tutorials.

There are a number of things that can be done with the software, such as brightness control and contrast improvements. It even has a panoramic photo maker, making it easy to join two images together.

If you already have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro but would like to have these functions, a plug-in version of the program is also available.
