PictureScaler is a utility that allows you to resize images either singularly or in batch mode, to your own predefined settings.
You can specify how the image scaling is to be done in one of two ways: as a percentage of the original size, or by setting a new width/height.
File support is fairly good, particularly if you have QuickTime installed - more formats are supported with it. Images can be resized as long as they are in the following formats: BMP, MAF, PCT, PNG, SGI, TGA, TIFF, PSD, GIF and JPG.
Resizing images is easy, either by dragging and dropping files or folders directly onto the program's window (or desktop shortcut), or via the Open dialogue.
When resizing, a new file can be created (with an added suffix, chosen by you) or the original can be overwritten.
Resized images can be saved in all formats (with Quicktime installed), or in the BMP/JPG formats if you don't have Quicktime. The JPG option allows you to specify the image quality and images can be rotated with no loss of quality.
Images can be rotated at the same time as being resized, and this includes auto-rotation of images according to the orientation of the camera when the picture was taken (on supported to cameras).
