The Classic iPod has a secret weapon in that it can be used in disk mode to store your important files and other information. If you want, you can even install portable applications to this device and use it as a portable removable drive.

Snag is, people are now moving across to the iPod Touch or the iPhone and expect to have these devices to have the same capability. DiskAid is a simple tool that will enable you to access your iPod Touch or iPhone and use it to store files. It’s not quite the same as having a removable external drive or even an iPod in proper disk mode – so you won’t be able to install portable applications on your iPhone or iPod Touch – but you can use it to store your files, work and other information.
