Impressive and free antivirus and antispyware package

Platform : Mac OS X

Verdict: A great antivirus and antispyware program at no cost

System Requirements:

Short of tracking your friends through GPS over the Internet (actually, it can be done...) we seem compelled to know what they’re up to, when and who with. We need to see pictures and, if we don’t receive this info, we feel left out. It’s got so bad now that we’ll be sharing our bank accounts with our friends soon.

Still, people feel the need to keep in touch and there are now various ways of follow other users. Twitter is the most obvious, although Facebook is more effective at bringing together close friends in a group. The problem is that the more people you tend to follow through social networking, the more difficult it is to see the updates from your most important friends.

The Nambu Network is a preview of a Mac application that brings together various social networking sources and enables you to view your Twitter conversations as if you were using an email client. Scroll through incoming tweets, view sent messages and quickly see who’s following you or who you are following.

It’s a shame it’s Mac-only. There have been some great Twitter-based apps produced via Adobe Air recently, which means that they are cross platform. No reason why this couldn’t be Air-based. There’s also a version of Nambu for your iPhone, so you can tweet on the road.

Nambu primarily supports Twitter and Friendfeed, so far.
