Whether you’re streaming or downloading videos or TV programmes, it’s essential for you to be able to manage and watch your media files effectively. Spending time downloading a film then finding it’s only viewable in a certain resolution, or extremely slow streaming speeds are not uncommon in the world of online TV. Despite fast broadband, the holdup may be the remote server, or your ISP, not your connection.

This is the debut media player from Adobe, based on Flash technology. This is media playback software that rivals both Apple’s Quicktime and Windows Media Player but also an array of online video content, from well known TV programmes to the latest music videos. Online content will be available for streaming or download, and can be viewed both on and offline. Users can subscribe to their favourite shows, and will be reminded when new episodes are made available.

One downside to Adobe’s player is that it will be an advert supported service, which will provide advertiser’s with another way of reaching a target audience. This will enable them to place adverts with specific relevance during certain programmes.

However, Adobe can boast an impressive number of content partners such as MTV and Universal Music, alongside an ever increasing list of newcomers, so it’s unlikely you’ll get bored trying to find something to watch or playback using this media player.
