However, how do you know which open process is associated with a particular application? Indeed, how do you even understand the processes listed within the Task Manager.

There is an online service called the Process Library from Uniblue that enables you to quickly refer to various processes that run on your system. Unless you can view the site with your browser or have the resources to check online, you may be stuck. Luckily for you, Uniblue have designed an addon for the existing Task Manager that enables you to quickly see information about each open process, using the information from Process Library.

This is done by adding a small info button next to each process in the Task Manager. Simple, but a welcome addition to your Task Manager.
