This is the software publisher's description.

East-Tec Backup backs up and protects the files and data you care about. East-Tec Backup is very easy to use and features intuitive wizards, automatic backups, data compression, strong military AES encryption and FTP support. Back up all important information on your computer — documents, digital photos, family videos, key financial records, emails, address book, computer and program settings, and other data — in one easy step.

Most users do not like backing up data or simply forget about it. You can set East-Tec Backup to automatically back up your data at any desired time intervals, such as once a day, once a week, at Windows startup or shutdown, or on a specified date and time.

East-Tec Backup backs up to almost any media, including CDR/RW and DVD+-R/RW drives, USB and FireWire (IEEE 1394) external storage devices, internal or external hard disks, Iomega Zip and Jaz drives, local area network locations, and remote FTP locations (upload auto-resuming supported).

East-Tec Backup protects your data using 256-bit AES, the most secure and sophisticated encryption algorithm currently available. AES has been adopted as an encryption standard by the US government.
