11,597 respondents cast their vote to
rate their system motherboards, with
the majority of voters having either an
Asus (3547 respondents) or Gigabyte
(3803 respondents) board installed.
This was one category where the
winner wasn’t hard to determine.
Gigabyte was so far ahead of the rest of
the pack that we haven’t even awarded
any highly commended manufacturers.
Gigabyte not only scored highest for
post-sales support, reliability and value
for money, but it also gets a massive
vote of confidence from loyal buyers
97% would opt for the same brand
next time around.
Not surprisingly, given that
Gigabyte has featured on our A-List
throughout the year, we think this
is a well-deserved win, and it's a
testament to the effort Gigabyte has
put into responding to the needs and
feedback from reviewers, enthusiasts
and customers.
In most cases, support was the area
where motherboard buyers wanted
more from manufacturers. At the other
end of the scale, Foxconn and ASRock
rated highly for value for money, but
respondents felt that the Foxconn and
ASRock motherboards had little else to
recommend them.
