10,421 people rated their graphics card for
us this year, and overall, 85% were satisfied
or very satisfied with their purchase.
When it comes to graphics cards,
each year is different, depending on
which graphics chipset manufacturer is
in the ascendant – NVIDIA or AMD/
ATi – and what deals manufacturers
offer in their retail bundles.
This year, EVGA has offered great
games in its bundles, which may have
helped win over customers. Even so, it
was a narrow win, and Gigabyte earns a
highly commended award. Asus, Sapphire
and XFX all rated very highly too.
It’s worth noting that there are
also no real duds in the category – the
limitations of a market where only two
manufacturers supply the chipsets and
drivers for the vast majority of products
also mean it’s pretty hard to go wrong
on a graphics card purchase, and you can
focus on price and bundles while being
confident that you’ve got solid support
in most areas of performance. Our
winners, in this case, reflect those with
the best follow-through.
