Zara Baxter

Zara Baxter has been with PC Authority since mid-2007. She's a self-described second-generation geek, who grew up colouring in punch-cards that her father brought home, and first experimented with computers when they still had cassette tape drives and no hard drive. Zara's been in computer journalism for 10 years, with roles ranging from computer lab tester through to her current deputy editor role. Zara thinks computers should be accessible as well as powerful, and has a passion to help people get the most out of whatever computer they have. Zara studied Biology at Flinders University, specialising in genetics and microbiology graduation with a Bachelor of Science with Honours. She's lectured in topics as varied as creative writing, digital media, and microbiology.
