Well, this ain't fair. Here I am, at work, while the Crysis 3 multiplayer open beta is now live - on Xbox, PS3 AND PC (via Origin).
It's not the multiplayer that really interests us so much - though Hunter does sound interesting - but rather the chance to get an idea of just how good the game's going to look on PC. Crysis 2 didn't quite follow in the first game's footsteps, but Crytek's been promising that this one will really deliver on the delicious pixels.
One - perhaps two - things point to the fact that the developer may be on the ball with this prediction. Both AMD and NVIDIA have now released drivers designed with the Crysis 3 beta in mind.
You can get the AMD Catalyst 13.2 Beta Release drivers here, or NVIDIA's GeForce 313.96 Driver here. Both apparently deliver significant performance boosts.
Anyone out there playing yet? Thoughts?
