Priced at $499 (tablet only), the Transformer Pad TF300T is an Andoid 4.0 tablet powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core CPU. Like other models in the Asus Transformer range, it has the ability to transform into a laptop via an optional keyboard dock accessory (this can be purchased seperately, or as part of a bundle for $599).
While not quite as impressive as the Eee Pad Transformer Prime, there are some pretty noteworthy features on board the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T. This includes a 10.1in WXGA touch screen display with a 178° viewing angle, an 8MP auto-focus camera with Full HD video recording, Asus' SonicMaster audio and the aforementioned Tegra 3 CPU and Android 4.0/ Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Connectivity is also impressive, comprising a 2-in-1 card reader, 3.5mm Audio Jack, HDMI and a microSD slot (the dock adds another SD card reader and one USB 2.0 port.)

With a width of 9.9mm and weighing 635g, the Transformer Pad is thicker than the new Apple iPad yet weighs slightly less. It comes in a range of three colours: Royal Blue, Iceberg White and Torch Red. We're scratching our heads at the lack of a metallic or black option: we can only assume Asus is targeting a style-conscious consumer crowd this time around.
The Transformer Pad TF300T has a purported battery life of 10 hours. According to Asus, this is boosted to 15 hours when using the keyboard dock, which comes with its own 16.5Wh Li-polymer battery.
With pricing starting at $499, the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T is significantly cheaper than the flagship Eee Pad Transformer Prime, which cost $899 at the time of release. Previous models in the Transformer range include the Eee Pad Transformer, Eee Pad Transformer Prime, and Transformer Pad Infinity.
