Size doesn't matter: Lenovo unveils the tiny ThinkCentre M92p

Lenovo has shown off its latest ThinkCentre PC - which is no wider than a golf ball.

It seems Lenovo is attempting to prove something when it comes to 'vertically challenged' PCs. Last year, the company released the pint-sized IdeaCentre Q180, which was supposedly the world's smallest "fully-functional" desktop PC. At just 22mm thick and 19.2cm high, it was shorter than an iPad.

Now, Lenovo appears to have broken its own record with the ThinkCentre M92p. Standing just 34.5mm high, its approximately the same width as a golf ball's diameter - as the above press shot helpfully illustrates.

According to Lenovo, the ThinkCentre M92p is the only Intel vPro-enabled system in its size category. The system comes with five USB ports, a 128GB solid state drive and the option of an Ivy Bridge processor (the system comes with an Intel Celeron G460 CPU as standard). Pricing starts at US$799.

At the time of writing, Lenovo had not officially announced the ThinkCentre M92p for the Australian market. If it does make it over here, the ThinkCentre M92p could be the ideal candidate for a cramped office desk.

Then again, the Rasberry Pi is the size of a credit card; albeit with rudimentary components running on Linux.
