Nokia tablet codenamed 'Champagne' is leaked in a blurry photo

The Finnish mobile giant's rumoured tablet appears to have been snapped in the wild.

A supposedly leaked photo of Nokia's long-rumoured 'Champagne' Windows 8 tablet has hit the interwebs, albeit in a very cropped and blurry fashion.

Although it's hard to pick up much information from the photo, the Nokia tablet does appear to be a possible black and champagne coloured tablet/possible keyboard combo, with rounded edges.

Naturally we're swallowing all this down with copious amounts of sodium chloride given the poor quality of the shot, so we'll have to make do with mockups like our Lumia-inspired one above for the time being.

Ooh good, it's rectangular with a glass face and rounded corners. No law 'cases' unless it really takes off of course ...

What is it with you Photo?

There are any number of tablets out there that HAVE NOT BEEN the subject of action by Apple. Just the one that looked so like an iPad as to have been an obviously rushed out copy to grab market share. As I've already said, I've seen the iPad and the Samsung tablet in question side by side in Italy and apart from the Samsung name, they looked like slightly different models from the same mfr. Even the packaging!

Just remember in your endless rants against Apple, they aren't the company that tried to pervert the FRAND standards by suing using patents they had agreed to licence on a FAIR AND REASONABLE basis. Even trying to double-dip on licences already paid by Qualcomm

Apple is not the company being investigated by the EU for monopolist practices in abusing FRAND patents.

Apple and Microsoft (+ Nokia?) are amongst the few in this industry to CLEARLY state they will not go for injunctions on FRAND patents they hold in commercial disputes.

Samsung and Google/Motorola are the two who have CLEARLY stated they will abuse FRAND patents in that manner.
