Mufin Player 2.5 brings increased online storage, interface update and more

The market for music players is somewhat saturated these days, but Mufin Player manages to stand out thanks to its music collection analysis, online storage options and playlist creation tools.

The newly updated version 2.5 sees the inclusion of even more online storage space than before – 2GB – that can be used to house your favourite music so it can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. There’s also a neatly redesigned interface to look forward to, as much more in the features department.

If you have a large music collection, you probably find that it makes sense to make use of the program’s search facility rather than browsing through a lengthy list of albums and artists. New in version 2.5 is auto-complete in the search field to save you having to type so much.

It is not just the online storage option that can be used to listen to your music when you are away from your computer, the application now includes an easy to use option that enables you to transfer tracks to your MP3 player or phone for portable musical entertainment.

Mufin Player’s handling of metadata has been enhanced so it is now not only possible to make changes to album and track details when working in List view, but m4a title data can now be displayed. The automatic playlist creation feature is just as impressive as it was in previous versions, so if you’ve never tried Mufin Player, there’s never been a better time to do so.

You can find out more and download your free copy of the program by paying a visit to the review page.
