Last week, a mystery computer virus caused havoc to NSW’s emergency services, with operators forced to take down patients’ details using pen and paper. The virus, which struck at 1pm last Saturday, crippled the state’s triple-0 call centers for more than 24 hours. Luckily, no lives were jeopardized in the incident, but it got us thinking about some of the more virulent computer pandemics that have hit in recent years.
